Elsewhere, other grains including rice after moving in a tight range on scattered support, managed to close at their previous levels.
Traders said reduced offtake by stockists against improved supplies in the market, mainly led to the fall in rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, wheat M (deshi) and wheat dara (for mills) were down by Rs 15 each to Rs 2,035-2,635 and R 1,705-1,710 per quintal, respectively.
Meanwhile, rice basmati common and Pusa- 1121 variety traded steady at Rs 5,300-5,400 and Rs 4,100-5,100 per quintal, respectively.
