What satisfied many vendors more than getting an opportunity to make money was fulfilment of their desire to be part of the event.
The vendors said they did not want to miss out on the occassion as they could relate to "one of them" forming the government of Delhi.
Gautam Kumar, who usually sells 'papad' at India Gate, was happy at the way his business turned out at the Ramlila Maidan. But he felt more satisfied having been part of the event.
Mohammad Alim came all the way from Gurgan to sell cream rolls. "I could not get inside but I could feel the positive vibes running across the hearts and minds of people," he said.

Ramesh Yadav from Nangoi Delhi was out there selling 'moong daal ka vada'. "My brother and wife managed to go inside to attend the swearing-in ceremony. But I cannot miss my work. I am getting to hear all what happened inside from the customers. People appeared simply euphoric," he said.
Raghu, who runs a stall in Connaught Place, said he sold more than 400 packets of 'Chikki (made of peanuts and jaggery) at Rs 5 per packet today.
"I haven't kept a count but it must be over 400 packets of Chikki that I sold today. It seems like a festival today. Everybody is celebrating the victory of AAP as if it is their own victory," he said.
