This is what a bemused 8-year-old Nancy, daughter of British Prime Minister David Cameron asked after she was left behind in a country pub.

An internal review is on in the elite VIP SO1 specialist protection unit hours after the girl was left behind and Cameron rushed back to the pub after reaching home and realising his daughter was missing.

The little girl had probably only been in the village pub's toilet for a few minutes. So when she emerged to find her mother and father and others in their party had vanished from the bar and outside, she was naturally a little bemused.

Where are my parents? Nancy asked staff at The Plough, the Daily Mail quoted her as asking.

Cameron got home from a Sunday lunch and discovered he had left his daughter in the pub. He dashed back and found little Nancy with staff at the Plough Inn.

The embarrassing lapse has led to an internal police review here.

Up to five armed police were believed to have been present as the party moved from the pub. Questions remain why no head count was undertaken.

A spokesman of the Prime Minister said his three children are his responsibility and "no one is going to face disciplinary action".
