On this occasion, General Officer Commanding Lt Gen D S Hooda complimented all ranks for their outstanding contribution towards combating militancy as well as assisting the civil administration in regaining normalcy, a defence spokesman said here.
White Knight Corps was raised on June 1, 1972 after the India-Pakistan war and since then, it has grown to become the largest corps of the Army and operationally the most vibrant one, the spokesman added.
The corps are operationally committed to guard the International Border, maintain sanctity of the Line of Control (LoC) and combating militancy, he said.
