With this, educational institutions would have smart classrooms, e-library and communication-cum-language laboratories from the next academic year, said the state's higher Education Minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi, who was here to attend a function.
Later, the facility would be extended to more colleges and varsities, he said.
Officers of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, which would execute the project, have started survey in state-run institutions.
"Funds will be released after BSNL submits a detailed project report," said Secretary (higher education) Gagan Kumar Dhal, who was also present.
