Man-of-the-Match Ravindra Jadeja today said that they were confident of winning as they had wickets in hand despite the pitch being not conducive for batting.
"Boundaries were not coming during the middle overs, expanding the margin of runs. But we had wickets and we knew if we stayed till the last we could win the match," Jadeja told reporters here.
"Dhoni and I were there and Vijay Shankar too played well," Jadeja, who also won the MoM on May 2 match against KKR, added.
Comparing the previous rain-marred wicket here, Jadeja said the wicket during the last match was different when fast balls came nicely to the bat.
"Today the quicker deliveries did not come onto the bat (like last time) while deliveries from spinners kept low with slow turn. So, hitting six and four initially became difficult," he added.
Jadeja said it was nice that the players showed professionalism on the ground, taking responsibility assigned to everyone in all situations----fielding, bowling and batting.
Rajasthan Royals player Ankit Sharma did not agree that their batting failed, saying CSK chased very well.
"I didn't find anything lacking in our batting. They chased very well. The wicket was not easy. The ball was not coming properly. They played very well," Sharma added.
