Wife of CRPF constable kills son, commits suicide

The wife of a CRPF constable allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after killing her 18 month-old-son in a similar manner, police said today.
Their bodies were found at their residence here last night by her parents.
Police said she had got married in 2011. Her husband had come on one month leave recently here and gone back to Assam, where he is posted.
Last night her parents, who stay nearby, went to see their grandson but found the door locked and a foul smell coming from within. They broke open the door and found the charred bodies inside.

They immediately informed police, who rushed to the spot and removed the bodies for post-mortem.
Police said they are investigating the reason for her taking the extreme step.
