The victim, identified as Kishori Lal was strangulated by his wife Gomti and her paramour Sunil alias Guddu in Bhadehsara village late last night, he said.
Agitated with the incident Kishori's family members assaulted Gomti and Sunil this morning injuring them seriously, the spokesman said.
He said that the duo was admitted to the hospital where Sunil died during treatment.
The spokesman said that Gomti, Hakim Singh and Bhanu Pratap have been arrested in connection with the two incidents.
