Wild bear, two cubs found dead in well

Carcasses of an adult female wild bear with its two cubs were today found in a well at Venkant Nagar, close to Tipan river in the adjoining Anupur district, forest officials said.
"In the morning, after finding the female bear's carcass floating in the well, some people passed on information to us. We reached the spot and fished out the bear along with its two dead cubs," Anupur Divisional Forests Officer D S Kanesh told PTI.
He said that the female bear was adult while its cubs were around three to four months old.
The three mammals might have come in search of food or water and slipped into the well, he said.

After postmortem, the bodies were disposed off, he said.
