Dube wrote a letter to Union Environment and Forest Minister Jayanti Natarajan yesterday alleging that norms were violated in disposing the remains of the feline.
He alleged that the forest department came to the conclusion that the tigress died of natural death without performing a postmortem on the carcass.
"Without performing an autopsy how can they claim that it was a natural death," Dube said.
On November 18, the official in-charge of the forest circle under whose jurisdiction the wild cat died, had stated that an FIR would be filed against the electricity department as a tigress was "allegedly electrocuted".
Later, the forest department mentioned the cause of the carnivore's death as "natural", he said.
