On the occasion of Elephant Appreciation Day, a wildlife conservation NGO made special arrangements for the pachyderms under lifetime care at the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura, which included a visit by actor model Anuj Sachdeva.
According to Wildlife SOS in 2016, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Sachdeva had started a initiative to raise awareness about the plight of Asian elephants in India and raise funds for the 23 'Living Ganeshas' who are under lifetime care of the NGO.
Kartick Satyanarayan, CEO of Wildlife SOS appreciated Sachdeva's gesture of spending the day at the rescue centre.
Geeta Seshamani, secretary of Wildlife SOS said, "On the occasion of Elephant Appreciation Day, we wanted to show the elephants in our care exactly how special they are to us, and how much we value and cherish the chance to be a part of their lives.
