He was asked as to how he saw his role as being the sole minister from West Bengal in the Union Government.
Asked whether he could be the face of BJP in the next West Bengal assembly elections, Supriyo said, "I have a face but whether that face is going to be the face for elections in West Bengal is something party high command has to decide."
Earlier, while welcoming Supriyo, his senior in ministry Venkaiah Naidu said with his joining, the developmental and welfare initiatives of the department and the government will get further boost.
