"Satara district has a tradition of the likes of Yashwantrao Chavan. This type of terror ideology needs to be stamped out," Nimbalkar said in Satara.
"The real issue is that he (Udayanraje) wants to join our panel since he is aware that he won't be able to form a panel of his own to contest the Satara district co-operative bank election. If he has the courage, he should form a separate panel and contest the bank poll," Nimbalkar said.
"Both are mature leaders and should reach an understanding," Pawar said in Sangli district yesterday.
Earlier, NCP Lok Sabha member Udayanraje Bhosle, who also happens to be a direct descendant of Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, had allegedly issued a veiled threat to his party rival Nimbalkar, that his "tongue would be pulled out" if his tirade against the Bhosle dynasty continued.
The development has come at a time when the Sharad Pawar-led NCP is trying to expand its reach after the drubbing in the Maharashtra assembly polls.
"I have never spoken anything against your family. I am warning you, if you utter anything against this dynasty, I will remove your tongue and put in your hands," Bhosle had allegedly said.
