Singh made the assurance while chairing a high-level meeting here this evening to review law and order situation as well as development works being carried outfor the betterment of the peoplein the naxal-affected region of the state, an official said.
Chief Minister Raman Singh was also present in the meeting which was convened at his official residence here in the state capital.
"In the meeting, Rajnath Singh said the development works being done in naxal-affected region by the Chhattisgarh government has brought a major transformation in the life of people.
He congratulated the Chhattisgarh government, its police and paramilitary forces for an effective counter-insurgency operation in the state and at the same time expressed satisfaction that 2016 was a successful year for it on Naxal front.

Reiterating Centre's support to the state in its efforts to wipe out naxal menace, Rajnath Singh said road connectivity in Naxal-hit area will be expanded and 850 km roads will be built in Chhattisgarh.
Besides, he also sanctioned setting up of 50 new police stations and 35 mobile towers in the maoist-hit areas of the state.
The Chief Minister informed that all the basic amenities including education, health, road construction and telecommunication in the Maoist-hit areas are being improved.
