RPI(A) chief Ramdas Athawale whose party is one of the constituents of 'Mahayuti' (grand alliance) in Maharashtra, today said the Ram temple issue was restricted to BJP only and the same will not be included into NDA's common minimum programme (CMP).
"Ram Mandir is an issue for the BJP. It is on their agenda. It was BJP's manifesto and not that of NDA. We will see to it that the temple issue is not included in NDA's common minimum programme," Athawale told reporters here.
He also distanced himself from other issues like abrogation of Article 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and enactment of Uniform Civil Code, which figured in the BJP's manifesto.
Athawale, however, praised the BJP blue print for "laying emphasis on the developmental issues".
He also attacked Congress for claiming the manifesto was a "copy-paste job" by BJP.
