The film documents the 47-year-old "Get Hard" star's bid to make history earlier in the year to play every single baseball position in one day, reported Digital Spy.
Ferrell teamed up with ten different teams from Major League Baseball's Cactus League on March 12, with cameras following him at each stop.
The stunt was held in Arizona to raise awareness for cancer research groups across the US. It was also a tribute to MLB legend Bert Campaneris playing each baseball position back on September 8, 1965.
"Ferrell Takes the Field" will premiere on HBO in the US on Saturday, September 12.
