Will Ferrell to star in North Pole expedition comedy

Comedy star Will Ferrell has joined the cast of the film based on the true story of a successful 1968 expedition to the North Pole.
The movie is based on Guy Lawson's article in the New York Times magazine titled "An Insurance Salesman and a Doctor Walk Into a Bar, and End Up at the North Pole: The Story of an Accidentally Pioneering Expedition," reported Deadline.
The story will revolve around a group of six middle-aged men from Minnesota, who decide to mount a expedition to the North Pole.
No director or writer is attached for the project to be produced by Temple Hill Entertainment.

Temple Hill last teamed with Ferrell in the 2010 comedy-drama "Everything Must Go.
