Addressing a government programme here in North Dinajpur district during her current tour of the North Bengal districts which saw large number of people attending it, Banerjee said people should not suffer or face harassment.
She hinted that in case of complaints, the officials concerned would face action according to an Act passed in the state Assembly recently.
The West Bengal Right to Public Services Bill, 2013, moved by the Mamata Banerjee government for prompt delivery of public services to people was passed in the state Assembly, which provides for delivery of services within a stipulated time.
"A list of work is being prepared and neglect will not be tolerated. The responsibility is being given to the state Chief Secretary who will look into it. Leaving work pending will not be allowed," she stressed.

Reacting to the order, employees' unions affiliated to the Left and the Congress have accused the Chief Minister of trying to curb their democratic rights.
