'Men In Black' star Will Smith has reportedly teamed up with Sony Pictures to produce a film adaptation of the upcoming graphic novel 'Harlem Hellfighters'.
Written by Max Brooks, the novel is inspired by the true story of the all African-American 369th Infantry Regiment, which fought in the US Army during World Wars I and II, reported Digital Spy.
Brooks is best known for writing the book 'World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War', which was adapted into last year's successful zombie horror movie starring Brad Pitt.
There is no word yet on whether Smith, 45, also plans to star in the new adaptation.
He is already thought to be attached to several films in the works, including 'Brilliance', 'Focus', 'Hancock 2', and 'Bad Boys 3'.
The 'Harlem Hellfighters' graphic novel is slated for release on April 1, 2014.
