Will take strict action against those involved in crime

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinna Rajappa, who will take charge as state Home Minister on June 22, today assured stringent action against those involved in crime against women.
"We will take all necessary steps and action will be taken to maintain law and order situation in the state. Stringent action will be initiated against those who are involved in crimes like attacks on women, atrocities, smuggling and other offences," he said.
The minister said that the state government will deal with these issues in a planned manner.
"Number of cases related to atrocities on women, smuggling, goondaism are being reported on a daily basis. We will initiate stringent action against those who commit such crimes," he added.
Chinna Rajappa said he would take charge as Home Minister on June 22.
"I will hold meetings with officials concerned and discuss with them the steps needed to bring down the crime rate in the state," he said.
Chinna Rajappa said that there were some financial problems due to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. "But we will take initiative to develop Andhra Pradesh on all fronts," he added.
