"I would hold discussions with Transport Minister Diwakar Raote to initiate the process of issuing auto permits to women," the minister said at a programmed organised here by the Regional Transport Office.
The state government had last year released 35,000 permits for autos in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region of which around five per cent have been reserved for women.
Besides politicians and officers, Bollywood actor Kangna Ranawat and Arjun Kapoor were also present on the occasion.
