Actor William Shatner is launching a graphic novel series based on his 1996 "Man O' War" books.
The 84-year-old "Star Trek" star recently launched his comic books label and has been working on a new series with the genre's godfather Stan Lee, and now Shatner plans to adapt the entire "Man O' War" series as "William Shatner: Chronicles Of War", reported Contactmusic.
The graphic novels will take place in the future and will follow the first generation of humans raised on Mars.
Shatner said he was inspired by the American Revolution and the struggle of Syrian refugees.
"The older generation, people coming out of Syria for example, emigrating out of countries that are no longer home, carry with them literally and figuratively a lot of baggage.
"It's only the kids growing up that begin to have the courage that they actually belong in that country, and to express the essence of humanity which is, 'I want to be free to express myself'," Shatner said.
