In an interaction ahead of the Hero Indian Open at the Delhi Golf Club, Kapur said that he still gets goosebumps when he thinks about that moment.
"My proudest moment was winning a gold medal for India, I still remember standing at the podium and when the national anthem started, I had goosebumps at that moment," he said.
The 34-year-old revealed that he had dreamt of an Asian Games gold medal when he was all of 14.

The difficulty for him came when he had to manage both his passion and academics at the same time. Kapur said it was at this point that time management worked for him.
The golfer believes that it is important to be exceptional in all areas, and said he never compromised on his academics to pursue his golfing dreams.
"You gotta live life, once you
should always encourage yourself to do it. I opted for Purdue University as I felt it would benefit my golfing career as well.
