Winova launches Swedish anti-bacterial solutions in Kerala

Winova Enterprises, an Indo-Swedish JV company, today launched a wide range of Swedish anti-bacterial solutions in Kerala, including country's first alcohol free hand sanitizers.
The world over the focus has been on developing eco- friendly products which effectively combat a range of bacteria and viruses and Winova, with its strong research base has been pioneering in this niche area, Ulf Wilhelmsson, MD, Winova Technology AB, of Sweden, told reporters here.
The company focuses on innovative green products in microbiology and water treatment. The products and processes have been developed and acquired with 40 years of experience and research, he said.

Winova Enterprises Private Ltd is a joint venture of Winova Technology of Sweden and Shivrams Associates.
The products have recently been launched in Tamil Nadu and the plans are to launch it in phases in the rest of India. The response from Tamil Nadu was very positive, Venkatesh Sivaraman, Managing Director of Winova Enterprises, said.
In the first phase, the company will be manufacturing its range of alcohol free, anti microbial defence products to kill bacteria and germs. The products include 'Safe Hands', one of India's first alcohol free hand sanitizers, and 'Baby Smooth', an exclusive alcohol free foam sanitizer for babies.

The products are being imported from Sweden and packaged in Coimbatore. There are also plans to launch a new set of disinfectants for the washrooms and kitchen, liquid soap, gels and colognes, he said.
Varun Sivaraman, Executive Director, Winova Enterprises, said Kerala being an important market, an effective retail network has been put in place with the appointment of super- stockists and distributors in various parts of the state.
