The cabinet approved Parliamentary Affairs Department's tentative schedule for a week-long winter session, Cabinet Secretariat Department Principal Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra said, adding, there will be five sittings between November 27 and December 1.
This will be the second session of state legislature after the Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) joined hands with the BJP to form the NDA government in Bihar.
The decision in this regard was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said.
The cabinet has altogether approved 30 proposals.
The cabinet gave its nod to Water Resources Department's proposal for constructing a ring bund to protect 'Sitabdiaria', the village where Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan was born, he said. Around Rs 86 crore is expected to be spent on the construction work.
It also decided to constitute an inquiry commission to probe irregularities allegedly committed by Bihar Bhoodan Yagna Committee in management and distribution of land in the state under the Bhoodan Yagna Act, 1954, Mehrotra said.
