"We are planning to operate in over 10 cities and create a customer base of more than 50,000 people by the end of this year. To cater to this number of people, we will also have a vendor base of over 5,000," Wizy Services Founder Subrata Kumar Khuntia told PTI.
The company is present in Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and recently launched its services in Guwahati, he added.
"We are currently servicing around 1,500 people through 260 registered vendors in these cities. Going forward, we will increase both the numbers as we add more cities to our list," Khuntia said.
"We are going to train our service providers to deliver services and will enhance the skills of professionals in respective segments. We aim to train and certify over one lakh people in Assam alone under this project over a period of 10 years," the entrepreneur said.
He further informed that the company plans to employ people on its pay-roll for the services and expects to generate good employment in different states.
Wizy is a mobile application based initiative to provide multiple service options at the consumers' doorsteps.
Some of the services offered through this application include plumbing, carpentry, electricians, painters, computer repairs, car wash, laundry, house cleaning, maid, academic tutors, dance and music teachers, pest control, government and legal services, event management, photography, investment advisor and insurance planner among others.
