Wolters Kluwer looking at Digital India to push its growth

Wolters Kluwer India, which provides professional information services for sectors like healthcare, today said it is leveraging on government's programmes such as 'Digital India' to push its growth.
"India is one of the emerging markets for the company. Over the last 10 years, we has seen double-digit revenue growth in India. We are also looking forward to increasing collaborations with state governments," Wolters Kluwer India CEO and General Manager Shireesh Sahai said.
He said with increasing digitisation in India, "We see huge opportunities for us in the healthcare sector. Currently about 15,000 doctors are app - up-to-date. We hope that this number will significantly increase in the coming years".
He added that leading institutions such as AIIMS, Manipal Medical College, CMC Vellore, TGI Chandigarh, Tata Memorial Hospital are subscribing to the app.
Besides healthcare sector, Wolters Kluwer caters to the tax and accounting professionals with software made in its research laboratory in Pune.
Sahai said increase in use of smartphones, continuous reforms, and demographic dividend are the major advantages, which India has for the company to record healthy growth in the coming years.
When asked about acquisition plans of the company, he said, "We are looking at both organic and inorganic growth in India. We will continue to grow in India".
The company currently has about 1,000 employees in the country and is investing in human resources to boost its double-digit growth.
