Woman, 2 others held for husband's murder

A woman and two others were arrested for the murder of her husband two days back, police said today.
Harjot Kaur, Jaskaran Singh and his friend Sahil were arrested for the murder of Kaur's husband Punjab Singh (26) on June 2, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said.
Punjab Singh was found murdered with sharp edged weapons near Sandhu Petrol Pump here on the night of June 2, police said.
Based on a complaint by Punjab's father Avtar Singh, a resident of Mandofal village, police registered a case under sections 302, 34 of the IPC against unidentified persons.

During investigation, police found that the victim's wife Harjot Kaur allegedly had illicit relations with Jaskaran Singh. Both allegedly hatched a conspiracy to kill Punjab with the help of Jaskaran's friend Sahil.
On June 2, Jaskaran allegedly attacked Punjab with a knife and killed him on the spot, the SSP said, adding that the accused had confessed to their crime.
