Woman accuses husband of posting obscene Whatsapp status

A case was registered against a man today after his 24-year-old wife lodged a police complaint accusing him of posting her obscene status on a social messaging app.
The woman complained that her husband Ankit Kalra posted obscene comments and intimate information about them on Whatsapp, damaging her reputation, police said.
The couple had got married in 2012 but differences cropped up between them five months later after which she returned to her parents' house.
On the basis of the complaint an FIR was lodged against Kalra and probe handed over to the Crime Branch and cyber cell, SSP Shalabh Mathur said.

Kalra has denied having posted any obscene status of his wife on Whatsapp. He alleged his wife was trying to "harass" him since their divorce case was in court.
