Woman alleges she was abducted, raped by neighbours

A 32-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped by three of her neighbours in north-east Delhi's Usmanpur area, police said today.
A senior police official said that although a case has been registered and the three alleged attackers have been identified after the woman's complaint, they are still trying to verify her claims as initial investigation has suggested that the victim, who is a widow, had a property dispute with them.
"As per the woman's complaint, the trio abducted her from her house in Burari area last night, took her to an isolated area and raped her," said a police official.

Police sources said that during initial probe it was learnt that the victim is involved in a court case over a property dispute with her alleged attackers.
"We have registered a case and investigations are on from all possible angles in this case," said a police official.
