The victims were identified as Shabnam, her daughter, Khushi (6), and son, Imran (8). While Shabnam was allegedly attacked with a sharp pointed object, suggested by a mark on her throat, the children were strangulated to death, said a police officer.
Shabnam's three other children - two daughters aged two years and four years, and a nine-month-old son - were found sleeping peacefully on the bed next to the three bodies. Shabnam's husband, Zafar, is a trader and works at Jaipur. He usually comes home every weekend but delayed his visit by two days this week.
Zafar raised an alarm and neighbours gathered at their house immediately. Later the police was informed and a case of murder was registered.
The police have not been able to find out the weapon of offence yet.
It remains a mystery as to how the three children were sleeping peacefully in the same room, in which three persons were murdered suspectedly in their presence, said the officer.
