The body of 26-year-old Vinod, with his throat slit, was found floating in Samana canal a week ago.
Last night, his wife and four others were arrested on murder charges, police said today.
On January 20, Vinod had gone to his in-laws house at Baccheda village to bring back his wife Sonpari.
However, his in-laws refused to send her with him. Later, he was murdered and his body was dumped in the canal.
Murder weapon was recovered on the basis of information given by them, police said, adding that the accused were being further interrogated to ascertain the cause of murder.
