Woman arrested for threatening to commit suicide

A woman has been arrested for allegedly threatening to commit suicide at a police station in Budhana town in the district, police said today.
Rita Chaudhary was arrested yesterday under CrPC section 155 (apprehension of breach of peace) after she threatened to take her life if a property dispute involving her was not resolved, SHO Arun Kumar Tyagi said.
The woman is a litigant in a property case, he said.
Meanwhile, two women allegedly attempted to commit suicide in separate incidents in the district by consuming poison yesterday, police said.
In the first incident, 25-year-old Monika, a resident of Janakpuri area, tried to commit suicide over a family dispute.

In the second case, Savitri consumed poison over a dispute in Charthawal area yesterday, they said.
Both the women have been rushed to the hospital, police added.
