Woman arrested with banned medicines in J&K

A woman, allegedly working as a drug peddler, was today arrested along with a haul of banned medicines here, police said.
Nelofer Sajad, a resident of posh Jawahar Nagar locality of the uptown city, was arrested from Shaheed Gunj area during a special drive against drug peddlers, a police spokesman said.
He said 30 codeine phosphate bottles and 480 Alprax tables, being used by drug addicts, were recovered from the possession of the arrested woman.
"The woman was supplying the banned medicines to addicted youth," the spokesman said adding a case under NDPS Act was registered against her.
