Woman booked for abetting son-in-law's suicide

A woman alongwith her son has been booked on alleged charges of harassing her 35-year-old son-in-law and driving him to end his life in Dombivali here, police said today.
The trio--Laxmi Rajaram Gomane (mother-in-law), her son Pravin Rajaram Gomane and Vijay Khade-- were booked under section 306 r/w 34 of IPC (abetment of suicide) after Rakesh Sakharam Surve allegedly committed suicide yesterday at his house in Manpada locality, API Santosh Shevale of Manpada police station said.
According to the complaint filed by Rakesh's mother, the trio frequently abused the victim and got him separated from his wife, following which he went into depression and took the drastic step.

However, no arrests have been made so far in this connection, police said.
