A 67-year-old woman was apprehended by excise sleuths from Eragada village in Kendrapara Sadar police area for being involved in illicit liquor trade.
Accused Gurubari Sahu was in alcohol bootlegging trade for quite a while. Acting on a tip-off, she was arrested from her house with illicit country liquor and hooch, said excise officials.
She was sent to jail later following the rejection of bail application by a local court.
The accused had been held for commission of a similar offence a couple of months back. After being bailed out, she went ahead with the trade.
