Woman burnt alive after her hut catches fire

A 22-year-old woman was burnt alive after her hut caught fire in Kirlamupudi mandal of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police sources said here today.
P Surekha (22), lived in a scheduled caste colony along with her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law, in Phillangi village of the mandal, police sources said.
Yesterday night, after Surakha's hut caught fire suddenly burnt her alive, Kirmalumpudi Circle Inspector G V V Satyanarayana said.
"The exact reason for the fire is not known. Police teams have pressed into service to know the facts behind the mishap," he said, adding that her husband G P Kameshwar, an auto driver as well as his mother and father are bring interrogated in custody.
Her body has been sent to Prathipadu Government General hospital for a post mortem, police sources said.
A case of suspected death has been registered and a probe is on, police sources said.
