Woman burnt to death, 2 injured in hut fire

A woman was charred to death and two family members suffered critical burn injuries when their thatched house caught fire in Jamunabad village in Patkura area of Odisha's Kendrapara district today, police said.
Sashmita Samal was declared brought dead in government-run Patkura community health centre while two injured persons - Gajendra Samal and Bilasini Samal - were rushed to the Kendrapara district headquarters hospital, they said.
Their condition, according to hospital sources, is stated to be critical.
Investigation was on to ascertain the circumstances leading to the mishap, police said.
