Woman comes under wheels while getting down from bus, dies

A 40-year-old woman was killed as she came under the wheels of an RTV bus at Shahabad Daulatpur area in the outer Delhi while getting down from the vehicle.
The incident happened at around 2.45 PM when Nirmala lost her balance while trying to get down from the vehicle as it moved before her both feet could land on the ground, police said.
"She fell down and came under the wheels of the vehicle," said Vikramjeet Singh, DCP(outer).
The driver didn't see whether the woman had de-boarded and started the vehicle without realising that the woman's foot had stuck, the officer said.

The driver ran away from the spot and a search is on for him. A case under section 304-A (causing death due to negligence) has been registered.
