A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a water tank along with her three children, police said Saturday.
The incident took place in Sadar police station area of the district late Friday night when other family members of the woman had gone out, they said.
The reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, they added.
The deceased were identified as Heero Devi, her sons Dharmendra (5), Ramesh (3) and a two-month-old infant. She was married to Ramram Jat for the last seven years, police said.
The woman apparently threw her children in the water tank first and then jumped in it, they added.
