A woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire in Kalichpur village under Puranasala police station limits today.
In a complaint lodged with the police, Kanwaljit Kaur's brother Lal Singh said that she and her husband Hoshiar Singh used to quarrel with each other. Fed up with her life, she allegedly poured kerosene and set herself afire, police said.
Kaur and Singh were for 17 years and have three children.
Police have registered a case against Hoshiar Singh, who is absconding.
