The woman, identified as Dolly Kataria, was an anganwadi teacher who lived with her family at Sagarpur area, police said.
Around 8 AM today, the woman, accompanied by her uncle, was heading towards her relative's residence at Najafgarh area. The bus - which eye-witnesses said was carrying school children - hit Kataria's scooter from the rear side and allegedly crushed her to death, while her uncle suffered severe injuries, police said.
Locals called up the police control room and a police team rushed Dolly and her uncle to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead and her uncle was admitted, police said.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and police are looking for the accused, police added.
