The victims Champa (58) and Madhuri (21) were sleeping near the window of their house in Machligaon village under Badlapur police station area when the miscreant threw acid on them last night, they said.
Both received serious burn injuries and were rushed to a nursing home in Varanasi, they said, adding that a case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the culprit.
