A woman constable of Delhi Police has accused a sub-inspector (SI) of allegedly raping her after solemnising a marriage in Najafgarh area of south west Delhi.
According to the police, the SI, identified as Ravi Rathi, who is posted with East Delhi's Pandav Nagar Police Station, has gone missing after the matter was reported.
Rathi and the victim are 2010 batch police personnel and met each other during their training and befriended.
A police official said Rahti is already married but he concealed this fact from the victim and proposed her for marriage.
She agreed and both got married at a temple. Rathi then allegedly developed physical relation with the victim.
"Rathi then started ignoring the victim. About 15 days back, the victim learnt that Rathi was already married. She then decided to teach him a lesson and approached Najafgarh Police Station to lodge a rape case," said a police official.
