Pandit was presented before Judicial Magistrate First Class S L Gupta, who extended her custody till February 11.
The crime branch had sought the extension of Pandit's custody, saying it needed to interrogate her further in connection with the case, DCP (Crime) Abhishek Trimukhe said.
Pandit (54) was arrested by the Thane Crime Branch officials on February 2.
According to the police, Pandit's name had cropped up after four private detectives, arrested earlier in connection with the case, had revealed her alleged involvement.
