The victim, Kanchan, yesterday approached the fake doctor, identified as Yogendra Singh Jatav, who was also a lawyer-turned-sarpanch of Imlia village, rural police station in-charge Rajesh Malviya told reporters.
After she complained of an illness, Jatav injected a wrong medicine on her following which she died, Malviya said.
On the complaint of her husband Mahesh, police arrested Jatav yesterday and registered a case against him in this regard.
The accused, after getting elected as sarpanch of the village, had started practising there as a doctor.
