A woman doctor, who had alleged that a Jammu and Kashmir minister misbehaved with her for not wearing an apron during an official function, today said she will approach court against the minister.
"Three days have passed since I was harassed by Health Minister Lal Singh, on the same day I had filed a written complaint with the police. But so far the police has failed to register a formal FIR against the minister," Dr Gurmeet Kour told PTI.
Kour said she would wait for few more days after which she would approach the court to get a criminal case registered against the minister.
"We live in a democracy and if the police fail to register a case, I will move the court to get the case registered," she said.
Kour said that after the incident her entire family has been going through tremendous stress.
"We are living under threat, my seniors in the hospital are intimidating me for raising voice against the minister," she said.

In her complaint to the police, Kaur said the health minister Chowdhary Lal Singh misbehaved with her and used "harsh words" in full public view.
"I was shocked by the by use of harsh words and misbehaviour with me in full public view by none other than Lal Singh, the Minister for Health (at function here). This has left me mentally harassed and wrecked," Registrar, Psychiatry Diseases Hospital, Jammu, Dr Gurmeet Kour had said in her complaint against the BJP minister at police station Bakshi Nagar on March 11.
"This amounts to outraging the modesty of a lady medical officer in full public view, consequently leading to defamation in public," she said in the complaint.
"During a function, Singh publicly shouted at me for not wearing apron and said who has invited you here and snapped his finger at me and further said 'tumhara kaam ho gaya chalo niklo' (your work is over, now go out).
"A complaint has been filed by a lady doctor against the minister and it has been rejected on the ground that it did not have substance," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu, Uttam Chand had said.
Reacting to the complaint, Lal Singh had told reporters that, "I told her to wear apron -- is it a misbehaviour... It was an official function, it was not a social function. All doctors were wearing aprons and were they wrong...".
