Woman, family members booked for abetting suicide of husband

A woman along with her parents and brothers has been booked for allegedly abetting the suicide of her husband, police said today.
Panna Lal (30) had committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan Gandhi Camp here, a police official said.
In a complaint lodged with the police, Panna's brother Heera Lal alleged that the deceased's relationship with his wife Rekha had soured soon after their marriage and that his in-laws had allegedly made Panna sell his house and forced him to hand over the money to them.
Panna had got married to Rekha, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, on November, 4, 2012.
"Feeling depressed, Panna committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan," Heer alleged in the complaint.
On his complaint, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC against the deceased's wife Rekha, mother-in-law Rano, father-in-law Bodh Raj and brothers-in-law Bittu and Sunil, residents of village Swanjana in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said the accused were absconding.
