Kalim Akhtar, husband of deceased Shaheen Bano (30), said that she committed suicide by setting herself on fire yesterday but her parents alleged that Akhtar's family killed Bano for dowry, the police spokesman said here today.
Akhtar claimed that while returning home he saw smoke coming out of a room in the house and found the main entrance of the house locked, police said.
He further claimed that he broke open the door and found Bano's burning body inside the room and informed her parents and police, they said.
