The woman was admitted to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, the sources said.

The sources said that a complaint had been lodged yesterday about the woman going missing.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Oiji Pal said that the woman was unable to speak.

Superintendent of the NBMCH, Sabyasachi Das, said that medical tests to ascertain if rape had taken place were conducted.

He said that the woman was in trauma and was unable to speak.
